Alkalising and Weight Loss.

According to Dr Robert Young of pH Miracle renown – excess weight is not a fat problem: it is an acid problem. When the body is over acidic it will store excess acids in fat so as to reduce the acid loading on the liver and kidneys. Consequently when we begin to alkalise the body it is able to begin to neutralise this excess acidity and flush it out of the body. It is for that reason that overweight people frequently find that they begin to loose excess unwanted weight when they start alkalising.

Alkalising and Blood Sugar Levels

Alkalising can help balancing blood sugar levels. When you begin to adopt a more alkaline diet you begin to eliminate foods that are not good for blood sugar control.  It helps to reduce the stress on the pancreas.  It is not unusual for people suffering from the effects of Type 2 diabetes to be able to reduce their medication.  Some have even been able to be able to control their blood sugar levels completely with a proper alkaline diet.

Alkalising and Elevated Cholesterol Levels

Elevated cholesterol is seen as a marker for heart disease. However there is a view that if our blood pH is overly acidic the body will coat the arterial walls with cholesterol so as to protect them from acid damage. So the underlying problem is not the cholesterol but excess acidity. If we bring our body biochemistry into proper balance the body will naturally begin to reduce this excess elevated cholesterol levels.

Oxygenation

One of the main reasons we alkalise is to enhance the oxygen levels in the body. Recent research has again shown that cancer flourishes in low oxygen conditions. Hence the need to alkalise and oxygenate the body.

These are just some of the benefits of alkalising. Initially when people begin to move their bodies into a more alkaline state and properly hydrate the body they will begin to feel enhanced energy levels and better concentration and focus.
